“Dance binds culture gap”

    Indian cultures has wide variety of things, be it food, dressing, rituals, language , habits and the list goes on and on.
    When we speak of Culture, we can’t forget the variety of dances which are performed in various parts of the country.
    Be it Bharthanatya, kuchipudi, kathakali, lavani, bihu and others which are wholeheartedly accepted and performed. Dance has its unique way of binding people from different parts of the country.
    Mysore city , too is also known and has housed many various performance of dances.Many well known names in the dance forms has attracted the world audience to this city of palaces.
    Meet, Mitali Ghosh, a khathak performer basically from Kolkata, who is running a dance class in the city from past 8 years. She says that out of all dance forms khathak has been attracting a less crowd due to some reason or the other. Many of the dance learners hail from North India , but south Indians usually avoid this form and show less interest.
    Khathak has 3 gharanas Lucknow, Jaipur and Banaras .

    She has been trained under the dance maestro Biju Maharaja since her childhood. She adds that many learn this as a hobby and later adopt it as a profession too.
    She has students of different ages from 6 years to 30 years . The students too enjoy this and are exposed to stage performance at regular intervals.

    Many of them are the opinion that dance always binds culture and enhance our personality .
    So if you really want to adopt it better join and make it a hobby or a profession , which adds grace to your personality.
