Mysore loses its Clean city tag.
The city of Mysore , which was expecting a hatrick to claim the Clean city tag was disappointed as it slipped to 5th position , missing it’s third consecutive year. The pubic are disappointed and MYSORE MATTER’s spoke to some of the public to know their reaction .The excerpts
Subbanna, a retired Chief Engineer and a resident of Siddharthanagar opines that The city civic administration took it for granted , they neglected many of the work during the assessment period which was a set back for losing the title.
Sheela.G, Principal at the PU college resident of nazarbad ,claims that a app can’t be considered as a yardstick to measure the cleanliness , many of the Mysoreans didn’t participate properly in the survey which was one of the reason.
Anantha Shayana, an architect and resident of TK Layout feels very disappointed and says that Mysore has slipped down to 5th position, which they never excepted.its a wake up call for the administration and general public to work together and contribute for the development.
The city corporation has been doing a lot to instill the idea among it’s public but , the work and collective effort are not shown in results asserts one of the corporator who remained anonymous.
It’s high time the administration take up the task seriously.Join hands with public organizations, liked minded institutions to gear up for the next year assessment .
It should be a joint effort from all section of the society to create a niche for our clean city.
